Matías Romero Acuña—founder of Aural Sounds Studio and Head Composer—is a creator whose life story is interwoven with the transformative power of sound and a deep reverence for nature. Born in 1987 in the lush Litoral region of Santa Fe, Argentina, his artistic path is a harmonious blend of personal challenges, cultural exploration, and an enduring commitment to self-discovery through music.
Growing up amidst Argentina’s rivers and forests, Matías cultivated a profound connection with the natural world, a theme that resonates throughout his work.
At 18, he embarked on a transformative journey, traveling across Europe and South America. Immersing himself in diverse musical traditions and cultural landscapes, he gained a deeper understanding of sound’s universality and its capacity to heal and inspire.
Returning to his homeland, Matías studied Popular Music and Modern Literature, refining his academic and artistic foundations. Simultaneously, he embraced the tactile craft of creating musical instruments, mastering tools for traditional and alternative sound healing.
This hands-on approach laid the groundwork for his unique approach to music production and healing. Certified as a Sound Therapist by the Unísono Sound Healing Academy, he began fusing artistry with therapeutic intent.
Amid personal and economic challenges, Matías relocated to southern Spain, where he worked in olive fields while further developing his musical skills. This chapter, filled with simplicity and perseverance, catalyzed his evolution as a multi-instrumentalist. Surrounded by instruments ranging from strings to synthesizers, he redefined his artistry, channeling life’s trials into melodies that speak directly to the soul.
Today, as the creator of the Aural Sounds Experience, Matías crafts immersive soundscapes blending analog instruments, binaural frequencies, and modern synthesizers. His performances are more than concerts—they are rituals, inviting participants into a journey of self-exploration and connection. Through his studio, he produces music that serves both as art and as a tool for therapeutic transformation.
